Valediction to Winter

From http://www.napowrimo.net/ : And now, our (completely optional) prompt for the day! This might seem like a bit of a downer, but I challenge you to write a valediction.

The dogwood trees are starting to bloom--their buds are white and pinkish moons.
The cold clench of winter has released its white hand--Spring begins to flourish the land!
When you camp, it's still nice to have a fire. Your Psyche anxiously reels w/o the primal security-blanket of warmth and light.
The cold gloom of Winter keeps many indoors. Cabin fever ravages the bored.
Tho I trekked a time or two before Spring, I wasn't privy to hear the song-birds sing.
There is a music during Spring which is an awakening. Not all of us can store enough calories to hibernate.
We must work-on, and endure the harsh season w/ the promise of Spring for reason.
Knowledge that one season will end to allow another to begin has kept many a man from ending it.
Adios, Winter! I won't miss you, but I'll meet you head-on when your time reciprocates.
